“I was then posted to Intrepid for the Falklands as a helicopter controller. It was my sad job to send the rescue helicopters from San Carlos out to the ship on May 25th to pick up survivors. Having only left the ship some 6 months before it was one of the less pleasant tasks I had during my time in the Navy.

Anyway, just scanning your picture gallery and my own photo collection and found several pictures of guys on Cov, especially 3Q mess. Great to see some of the ugly mugs and dubious hair cuts again! I have to admit to not remembering the names of some but I’m sure your contributors can!”
