A message from Rus Evans, living on Pebble Island in the conflict now living on Orkney.
\"Hi Craig,
Hope you are doing well.
Just wanted to let you know I am thinking about you and all the HMS Coventry crew and families today.
Please pass on my best wishes to any of the crew you are in touch with.
I can still see as clear as day the helicopters flying past going to rescue you all and at that point we did not know what had happened.
Mum is arriving in Orkney tonight, she came across from the Falklands almost two weeks ago.
Take care buddy.\"

I was the HC during first commission, left at Singapore, after our Hong Kong, Subic Bay, Japan & China visits. Lots happened after I left, spent time in NI, again, with the Det ended up at \"D\" Troop 63 Sig Sqn. Have some great memories of Coventry and it was an honour to have served on it and with those who served on her.
